Thanks for purchasing a new Softech Softboard.
Before you hit the water, you’ll need to install the Softech ST Fins. This involves attaching the fins
by placing them into the softboard and screwing them in place.
The board will be delivered with the
deck screws in place and adhesive washers positioned under each screw head. These adhesive washers are attached to the deck foam and should NOT be removed!
To attach the fins, position the softboard with the bottom slick side facing up.
Remove the backing paper from
the (6) adhesive washers. Be careful not
to remove the washer from the bottom
slick. These washers help prevent water
absorption into the softboard core.

Once the backing paper is
removed, align the two posts under the fin with the pre-drilled fin holes. Push down firmly until the posts are deep in the holes.

Turn the softboard over, align
the screw thread with the fin post
and begin tightening the screws
using the supplied tool, a coin or flat head screwdriver. It’s normal for the adhesive washer to bulge underneath the perimeter of the screw heads.
Installation is complete when the
screw heads are compressed into the deck foam and the fin base is pressed firmly against the bottom slick.
